Each year in January, customers, prospects, partners, and the Acumatica team come together for an annual event focused on celebrating achievements and learning about what’s on the roadmap ahead. This years’ summit had over 3,500 attendees, more than 90 breakout sessions, an expansive marketplace, and a variety of social events.
Every Summit there are two major keynotes full of celebrating achievements and discovering new functionality to expect. Before we dive into the day 2 keynote, here the takeaways from day 1.
Chief Product Officer, Ali Jani, welcomes the crowd and recaps the highlights of the day 1 keynote. (Read the day 1 highlights blog post here). The Acumatica ecosystem in 2024 can be described having a lot of momentum and energy. In the past year Acumatica has delivered big upgrades such as the new and improved modern User Interface, the Professional Services Edition, and Acumatica Payments.
Jani announces a new project, called “Acumatica Labs” - a formalized way for Acumatica to work with users to improve the product through collaboration.
Acumatica lends their product strategy to meet the needs of the consumers based on trends and their core development approach. Below you’ll see Acumatica’s driving forces of change this year along with their fundamental product strategy.
Acumatica’s new Chief Engineering Officer, Miten Mehta, dives into his portion of the keynote showing the audience how AI within Acumatica can improve a multitude of industry specific operations.

Jeff Smits, Acumatica’s Chief Information Officer, highlights how Acumatica is always striving for continuous platform optimization with the help of AI/ML. The Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence systems in place are constantly measuring system performance, health metrics and key performance indicators to ensure optimal product use. Predictive analysis can predict possible future disruptions and work to avoid them. By letting AI determine when to perform system maintenance you can ensure the least amount of disruption and wasted time, getting you the most value for your system.

To improve upon this even further, Smits announce the new Maintenance Automation Initiative that minimizes customer impact for updates and maintenance. 2025 R1 beta is available now.
The day 2 keynote wraps up with Doug Johnson, VP Solution Architecture, and Mike Shchelkonogov, Founder and Chief Technology Officer, speaking on the big picture roadmap for Acumatica in the coming years. Acumatica will continue to increase product personalization and customizability in the new User Interface. They will be prioritizing more low-code no-code options for improved ease of use.
Shchelkonogov reiterates that Acumatica will continue to invest in developing AI tools to increase your value and improve your business operations.
