Acumatica Summit 2023 Day 1 Keynote
As January comes to end, it’s time for the Annual Acumatica Summit where partners, customers, and prospects come together to celebrate the previous years’ achievements and learn about product innovation ahead. This year there are more than 90 sessions being offered during the length of the event. Day 1 begins with a keynote focusing on what Acumatica has accomplished in the past year and recognizes partners and customers for their successes.
Presenting at his first Acumatica summit, recently appointed CEO, John Case, is welcomed to the stage to start with the “celebration” portion of the presentation. He begins by telling the audience about his journey to immerse himself in the company during the previous year. During his “tour”, Case visited customers, partners, and ISVs around the globe to understand Acumatica better. He stated that the most important lesson learned was the sense of community and passion surrounding the Acumatica product.
The team at Acumatica understands the importance and struggles of their ideal customers, mid-market businesses, and promises to support their success moving forward. With this in mind, Acumatica proudly announced they have surpassed the milestone of more than 10,000 customers. These customers account for more than 840 million annual transactions and did not suffer any security breaches in the past year.
One final announcement from the CEO was an updated Customer Bill of Rights. In 2019, Acumatica published a Customer Bill of Rights to protect the customers best interests and set a precedent for other ERP companies. You can take a closer look at the updated Customer Bill of Rights here.
Sanket Akerkar, Acumatica Chief Revenue Officer, joins the stage next to speak on the success of the Acumatica Community. The online community portal (which can be found at community.acumatica.com) is a place where customers, partners, prospects, and the Acumatica team can go to help one another with product related issues and questions. The online community has surpassed over 16,000 users and contains over 45,000 threads and answers.
Moving from the “celebrate” portion of the keynote to the “discover” section, Chief Technology Officer, Mike Schelkonogov, is introduced to speak on how Acumatica acts on their promise to provide a modern, future-proof ERP.

The final portion of the day 1 keynote is named “imagine” and is lead by Chief Product Officer, Ali Jani. He and John Case have a discussion about where they imagine the future roadmap for Acumatica will go. Some key words included “future-proof”, “agile”, and “scalable”. The Acumatica teams works hard to combine modern technology with the needs of their customers to spark innovation and enhance usability. An example of this in motion is the increased presence and capability of side panels in the newest release, 2023 R1.
