Acumatica Summit 2020 - Day 2
Welcome back to another day filled with great information and product reveals! During the morning keynote we would hear from Acumatica's Chief Product Officer, VP of platform strategy, and others that would excite us for the future of the company. This day really showcased the leading edge technology and how it brings value to its users.
For 2020 R1, the technology priorities are user experience, automation, and personalization. The upgrades slated for the newest release demonstrate these priorities well.
Acumatica sums it up by saying "The latest release unleashes product advances across every edition in usability, powerful new native modules, best in class functionality, codeless personalization, and cross-connected workflows." Their goal is to create future forward technology for everyday business problems.
With the announcements of new features, "ooh's" and "ahh's" could be heard from the crowd. Even some whispers mentioning "seamless" and "efficient" could be heard from those around us. It was extremely evident Acumatica is making upgrades with the customers feedback in mind.
As the keynote closed, VP of Platform Strategy, Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, exclaimed there was much "excitement and energy" surrounding the year ahead. We certainly felt that as we exited the theater and started toward our breakout sessions.
Day two of classes brought more valuable information and conversations. Once our breakout sessions ended for the day, we patiently awaited to hear from oceanographer, Robert Ballard, at the closing keynote. Ballard discovered the Titanic and many other sunken ships.
He recalled some of the events that got him to where he is today. He proudly talked about the importance of innovation, leadership, and taking chances for a bigger future. His current endeavors use powerful technology to keep him and his crew connected.
Jon Roskill closed up Summit by coming back on stage and making some closing remarks. He speaks on behalf of the entire Acumatica team when he says the future of Acumatica ERP is bright. And the question on everyone's mind - where will Summit take us next year? Well, actually just right down the street. The 2021 Acumatica Summit will be hosted at the Wynn hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
