Acumatica Summit 2020 - Day 1

Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas! 

​This years' Acumatica Summit was held at the swanky Cosmopolitan Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

Acumatica is a rapidly growing ERP solution based in the cloud. During this yearly event we are able to talk one on one with the Acumatica team and meet with other VAR's, ISV's, and customers. 

​Upon arrival, we registered and got our lanyards. We were greeted by an enormous room filled with hundreds of people and booths of products offering even more ways to add functionality to Acumatica.

We were able to see new and familiar faces and take in just how big this event was. From the beginning, we knew we were going to learn a lot and have a great time. 

The day one keynote focused on all the successes of 2019 and the growth to be expected in 2020. There was so much excitement surrounding the product and attendees, it was easy to be eager for this upcoming year. 

​Acumatica creates an overwhelming sense of community throughout their company and this was very evident at Summit. Even though the attendance list grows year after year, it always feels like you're in a tight-knit community. 

To show how much this event has grown, the first ever Acumatica Summit had around 30 people, while this event had almost 2,500 coming from 28 countries.

Acumatica always makes their message clear. They want to see their customers grow. Awards were given out to top customers and VAR's in honor of their hard work. Even though the Acumatica team is very proud of their company, they focus most on the success of others . 

Reflecting on 2019, it was announced that Acumatica now has more than 6,500 customers, making them the industry leader in revenue growth for the 7th year in a row. Montages of stellar reviews flashed across the screen showing how much the customers really love this company. Even reviews from Forbes, G2, and Gartner rave about the industry leading technology and customer support. 

Looking toward 2020, it was clear to see their goals and upgrades were based on what the customers want. CEO, Jon Roskill gave tons of announcements and statistics in this keynote and you can check them out in this Acumatica blog post.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Introduction of Acumatica Payroll

  • Acquisition of JAAS Systems to improve the manufacturing edition

  • Enhancing integration with Smartsheet

Post keynote, a delicious lunch buffet was served.

Breakout sessions began after lunch. There was a variety of classes for VAR's and customers to take. The customers got to learn more about the functionality of their system while the resellers talked about goals and got insight of the shiny new features of Acumatica 2020 R1.

Members of the Acumatica team and thought leaders created a positive space for us to learn and share. Having conversations with others allowed us to think up new ideas and help each other out. 

After classes ended, it was time to hit the dance floor at the Hakkasan Nightclub. Food, cocktails, and conversations started the night off. Then everyone had a great time dancing and chatting with colleagues and friends.

Overall, day one was extremely valuable and well planned. The announcements and classes got us excited to share all this new information with you and use it to help you grow your business.

By the end of day one we were full of new information, excited for day two, and very tired. Stay tuned for our next blog post about day two.
