Each year Microsoft has continued to hold Convergence conference for users of Microsoft's various ERP and CRM software. This is a continuation of a tradition that has its roots with Great Plains Software holding Stampede in Fargo, North Dakota in 1986. That year approximately 100 people attended the conference in a very different world in many ways. Over the last several years the conference has been held in various cities across the United States, such as Orlando, Florida and San Francisco, California. This years conference is in Atlanta, Georgia is expecting approximately 10,000 attendees.
This year Convergence has particular importance to the Microsoft Dynamics GP community. The official unveiling of Microsoft Dynamics GP Version 11 is being introduced. First of all, the official name is Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. There are many enhancements to the product particularly access to information from the system through dashboards, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Convergence helps both Partners and Customers recognize the new features and technologies to optimize productivity.
